Not One More: Promoting Maternal Health and Preventing Maternal Deaths

What is a Doula?

Get Started In Finding Your Perfect Doula

The Not One More Project supports mothers having an efficient birthing team. This project wants you to consider adding a Doula to your team.

Did you know that Indiana ranks among the worst in the United States for maternal mortality at 47th place, meaning 3rd highest?

More importantly if a mother does survive babies don’t come with instruction manuals!

Black mothers are monitored less, their concerns are frequently dismissed and they are often discharged with inadequate information about what is normal and what is potentially critical and/or life threatening.  In addition to the implicit biases, the same mother's do not have a support system to help navigate the issues experience by within motherhood, their families and every day life navigation while caring for a new child and themselves.
